Ortel Mobile Prepaid Credit FAQ
Call 1244 and choose option 9 from the menu. Enter your unique Ortel Mobile code followed by the # symbol (without spaces or punctuation). Your new credit is then immediately available.
Just type *101# on your cell phone and push the call button. Your balance is immediately displayed on the screen. You can also dial 1244 for free and press 1 to hear your remaining balance.
After activating your top-up, your credit is valid for 6 months. Do you have some credit left on your Ortel card? Don't worry! Your remaining balance is extended by 6 months with each new recharge.
Remember to top up your Ortel prepaid SIM card at least once every 6 months, even for a small amount. That way, you do not risk losing your mobile number and the remaining call credit. After these 6 months, it will not be possible to keep your number or request number portability.
You will still be able to receive calls and texts even if your Ortel prepaid credit is expended. But you will no longer be able to make calls and send texts. However, you can always buy a new recharge online and top up your prepaid card.
