Buy a Google Play Card

Never! Your gift card and Google credit do not expire.

Yes, Google Play Cards are region-restricted, meaning the currency of the gift card must match the currency of your Google account. Please be certain you are buying the correct card for your country to avoid redemption issues.

If your card currency doesn’t match your Google account country settings, it cannot be redeemed for that account. However, you can reach out to Google Play’s Support Team for help. Another option is to change the region of your account to use your funds for their corresponding region, but this can only be done once a year. You can also find more information on our Google Play Gift Card support page.

1. Open the Google Play app on your mobile phone or go to play.google.com/redeem

2. Go to the menu on the left upper-hand corner (three lines).

3. Select "Redeem" from the list.

4. Enter your code and tap "Redeem" to confirm.

5. That’s it! Your funds are immediately added to your account.

1. Open the Google Play app on your device.

2. At the top right of your screen, click your profile icon.

3. Select “Payments and subscriptions” - “Payment methods” and finally “Google Play balance”. Your available funds will be visible on the following screen.

While your gift card can only be redeemed on Android devices, iOS users can still enjoy Play Store content! Thanks to the Google TV app and Google Play Books and Audiobooks extension, anyone can watch or read their favorite entertainment on the go, even from Apple devices.

At this time, it is not possible to connect a gift card to your Family Library, but content purchased with a gift card on an individual account can already be shared with the family.

Thanks to Google Play Family Library, up to 5 family members can share apps, books, movies, shows and more. This service also allows you to keep track of your family’s spending and keep control of purchases. To use it, just open your Google Play app, and in the settings menu, tap “family” and then “Sign up for Family Library”. Just note that everyone in the family will need to follow the given instructions to set up their spot in the shared library.
