German customers: For German Customers, your o2 credit does not expire once your o2 mobile phone number is valid. You can check the current validity period by dialling *102#. Make sure to top up once every 6 months so your number remains valid. Therefore, you can use up your credit within six months of topping up. With each new top-up, the validity of the entire credit is extended by another six months. If your phone number expires or you wish to deactivate it, you can easily withdraw your remaining credit. 

UK customers: Make sure to redeem your o2 Pay As You Go Top-Up within 12 months after your purchase. It will no longer be valid after 1 year. Additionally, once you have topped up your mobile device, you have 6 months to carry out a chargeable activity, or your mobile phone will be disconnected. After this time, you will lose any remaining balance on your account.

There are a number of ways you can top up your o2 mobile phone number. The option you choose should reflect the country your number is registered in. There are different options available for German and UK customers.

German customers:

• To recharge, all you have to do is enter the key combination *103*rechargecode# and press the call key or send followed by your digital code. 

• Call the free o2 recharge number 5667 (within Germany) and follow the voice instructions.

UK customers: 

• Dial 4444 free from your mobile (within the UK), enter the number on your receipt, and follow the instructions.

• Dial 08456 062 277 from a landline, enter the number on your receipt, and follow the instructions.

There are several ways to check your o2 balance. Remember, there may be different methods available to you depending on the country your o2 mobile phone number is registered to.

German customers:

• Enter the key combination *101# into your cell phone and press the call key or send - your current account balance will then be shown on the display in a few seconds.

• Call the free service number 5667 and select option 2 for "Query current credit".

Note: you can also find all top-ups and debits in your My o2 account (in German).

UK customers: 

• Sign into your My o2 online or through the app.

• Press Hotkey 2 on your mobile phone.

• Key *#10# then press the call button.

• Dial 4444 free from your mobile phone.

You can sign into your My o2 from any device to check your balance. If you don’t have an account, don’t worry! You can follow these simple steps:

• Place your sim into another phone.

• Turn wifi off so you’re connected to the o2 data network (you won't be charged for using data on the My o2 website).

Go to My o2, there you can check your balance without signing in.

For UK customers, there are three ways to check your o2 bundle.

• Call 4444 free of charge, then choose option 2 and 2 again.

• Text BALANCE free to 20202.

• Visit My o2.

If you are a German customer you cannot top up someone else’s phone. UK customers can easily top up any o2 phone online easily and worldwide, not just their own. Just key in the number of the mobile you want to add credit to when you ring the o2 top up number.
