Using a Visa Gift Card is easy. Go to MyPrepaidCenter.com/redeem to enter and redeem the code you received from us. Proceed with creating your profile to receive the 16-digit card number, expiration date and security information. Make sure the merchant accepts Visa Debit Cards or Discover® Cards (U.S.). Make sure the balance of the Mastercard Gift Card is more than the entire cost of the purchase, including taxes. Please note: some transaction types require a hold of up to 20% above the purchase amount. Select ‘Credit’ or ‘Debit’ as the payment method (Do not select ‘Gift Card’) In the “Payment Method” section, enter the card information as you would a debit or credit card.

Your Visa Gift Card cannot be used for recurring bill payments, memberships, subscriptions, hotel and/or car rental reservations, or getting cash at ATMs. Depending on the merchant, split tender payments may be declined, extra fees or restrictions may apply. Be sure the prepaid balance of your card can cover the total amount of your order. It can also not be used in these prohibited countries.

When making a purchase outside the United States, a foreign transaction fee of up to 2% will be added to the purchase amount. In addition, some merchants may charge a small transaction fee, conversion fee (if applicable), or holding/authorization fee. The card might get declined if:

1. The purchase price is higher than the balance on the card. Note that, if you shop internationally, a foreign transaction fee of up to 2% will be put on top of the purchase amount.

3. The billing address you entered on the merchant website is not the same as you entered when you created the virtual card in your account. 

4. It is used for a recurring bill, subscriptions or reservations, which puts a hold on the available funds for up to 30 days.

5. You try to use it in a prohibited country.

6. You choose ‘debit’ instead of ‘credit’ when given the option.
