Steam eGift Card
Read below the most common questions that come with using a Steam Gift Card.
Several different factors can cause this error message. The most common one is the currency of your Steam account not matching that of the code itself. It can also occur when you already redeemed your code successfully, but Steam is still processing this transaction. Please make sure you fill your code in correctly to prevent any typos. If you still have trouble redeeming your Steam code, you can always contact our Support Team for a fitting solution.
Steam eGift Cards are region-restricted, meaning the currency of your card must match that of your account. To check which currency your code is for, please refer to your delivery email. Your Steam account region is based on your first Steam purchase and can be viewed in the Store & Purchase History page upon log in. If the currency of your Steam Gift Card and account do not match, you'll need to contact Steam Customer Service for help.
